One-to-one coaching
I offer one-on-one Zoom coaching in six week packages (50 mins per week). We'd pick a specific topic to focus on for the six weeks and I'd help you figure out what's going on, what you want to do, and most importantly, how to support yourself long after you finish working with me. These packages are £450 for PhD students and £600 for academics.
The one-to-one coaching is ideal if you want more intensive support and you're able to pay for this more bespoke experience.
Online group coaching
The PhD Life Coach membership provides regular online group coaching for PhD students to address issues such as overwhelm, negative self-talk, lack of motivation, and procrastination.
The membership creates a sense of community, gives the ongoing support you need, while also providing opportunities for individual coaching.
The membership is ideal if you want ongoing support, at a lower price point than one-to-one coaching, but with live access to me and a helpful community.
Be Your Own Best Boss
This course is ideal for people who want practical help with common issues and you're happy to guide yourself through the materials without live coaching.
University workshops
I offer a series of online workshops for universities to book for their PhD students and academics. These are evidence-based, psychologically-informed, interactive workshops that get to the REAL issues. Each 2hr workshop is highly interactive and participants will receive a handout and links to my podcast for ongoing support and reflection.
These workshops are ideal if you are a university looking to better support your students and staff in a group setting.
“Vikki’s support and expertise has been invaluable in managing my procrastination, battling my feelings of inadequacy, and mastering the art of making and sticking to plans. I am endlessly grateful for her transformative impact and unwavering support. I know that I couldn’t have finished my PhD without her help!”
Charlotte, PhD student
“Since having coaching with Vikki, I’ve felt so much calmer because I’m not spinning in my mind. I feel more confident, happier and more content. I finally have the headspace to enjoy my job. My role hasn’t changed, but I don’t feel overwhelmed any more.
I’m kinder to myself and I’m getting more done.”
Rebecca, Teaching Fellow and Programme Director
Why choose the PhD Life coach?
I get academia. I reached full Professor, have supervised many PhD students, mentored senior staff to promotions and national awards, and I am a double-accredited life coach.
One-on-one coaching is amazing, but I want to you to be able to look after yourself without me too! I teach you how to understand your mind and coach yourself to achieve your goals.
My coaching isn't designed to make you "resilient" so that you just cope with more and more difficult times. I help you feel empowered to support yourself and change your experience.

"Vikki's group coaching has helped me a great deal in dealing with doubts and impostor syndrome... It has helped me focus on what is important and understand the research process in terms of balancing other aspect of life with work. I could go on and on, but I'm glad I've attended and always look forward to the next meeting."

"I’m really glad I took the opportunity to have this coaching. I had been made redundant and started a new job. The coaching sessions allowed me to manage this better then I would have otherwise. Vikki helped me realise that the feelings of others are not in my control, but my actions are."
